We operate as a lead generation business. When you request services through our website, we connect you with our preferred contractors who will provide quotes, carry out work, and be responsible for all aspects of the project.
All our preferred contractors are vetted and carry appropriate insurance, guarantees, and professional qualifications.

Important: All design, supply, installation, project management, and after-sales services are provided directly by our preferred contractors, not by Torquay Landscaping.

3. Lead Generation Process

- All quotations, contracts, and pricing are between you and the contractor
3.2 Contractor Relationships
Please note:
- Contracts for work are formed directly between you and the contractor
- Torquay Landscaping is not party to any contract for construction work
- All terms, pricing, and conditions are agreed between you and the contractor
- We receive a referral commission from contractors for successful leads
4. Contractor Payment Terms
Important: Direct Payment to Contractors
All payments for construction work are made directly to the contractor you choose. Torquay Landscaping does not handle any payments for construction services. Payment terms, methods, and schedules are agreed between you and your chosen contractor.
4.1 Our Lead Generation Service
Our lead generation service is provided free of charge to customers. We receive payment through referral commissions from contractors when successful connections are made.
5. Contractor Responsibilities
All project timelines, delivery schedules, and site requirements are managed directly by your chosen contractor. This includes:
- Project timescales and scheduling
- Material sourcing and delivery
- Site access requirements
- Progress updates and communication
- Health and safety management
6. Planning Permission and Building Regulations
- You are responsible for obtaining any required planning permission
- We can provide guidance on planning requirements
- Building regulations compliance is included where applicable
- Work may be suspended if proper permissions are not in place
7. Contractor Warranties and Guarantees
Contractor-Provided Warranties
All warranties and guarantees for construction work are provided directly by your chosen contractor, not by Torquay Landscaping. Our preferred contractors typically offer:
- Workmanship warranties (typically 12 months minimum)
- Structural warranties (typically 10 years)
- Manufacturer warranties on materials and components
7.1 Warranty Claims
For any warranty claims or issues:
- Contact your contractor directly as they are responsible for all warranties
- Refer to the warranty terms provided by your contractor
- Torquay Landscaping can assist with initial contact if needed
- All warranty work is carried out by the original contractor
8. Liability and Insurance
Important: Limitation of Liability
Torquay Landscaping accepts no liability for any construction work, defects, delays, or issues arising from services provided by contractors.
All liability for construction work, materials, workmanship, and project delivery rests solely with the contractor you choose to work with.
8.1 Contractor Insurance
All our preferred contractors carry appropriate insurance including:
- Public liability insurance (minimum £2,000,000)
- Employers liability insurance (minimum £10,000,000)
- Professional indemnity insurance where applicable
- All relevant trade and professional certifications
8.2 Our Liability Limitations
Torquay Landscaping's liability is limited to our lead generation service only:
- We are not liable for any construction work or defects
- We are not liable for contractor delays, costs, or performance
- We are not liable for any disputes between you and contractors
- Our maximum liability is limited to £100 for our lead generation service
- We exclude all liability for indirect or consequential losses
9. Contractor Cancellation and Changes
All cancellation policies, cooling-off periods, and change procedures are managed directly between you and your chosen contractor:
- Cancellation terms are set by individual contractors
- Cooling-off periods apply as per contractor terms and consumer rights
- Project changes must be agreed directly with your contractor
- Torquay Landscaping is not involved in cancellation or change processes
10. Contractor Health and Safety
All health and safety responsibilities are managed by your chosen contractor:
- Contractors maintain comprehensive health and safety policies
- All work is carried out in accordance with current regulations
- Contractors will assess and manage site-specific hazards
- You should discuss safety requirements directly with your contractor
- Torquay Landscaping has no responsibility for on-site health and safety
